SIALKOT - Thousands of people including women and children will form a human chain on the eve of Kashmir Day to express solidarity with the innocent and oppressed people of Occupied Jammu & Kashmir here on Tuesday (today).
The people will observe Kashmir Solidarity Day with traditional zeal and enthusiasm in both the neighbouring Sialkot and Narowal districts.
Almost all the political and religious parties, NGOs and civil society organisations will take out rallies in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial, Uggoki, Head Marala, Pasrur, Chawinda, Badiana, Shakargarh, Zafarwal, Noor Kot, Baddo Malhi , Narowal and the surrounding areas.
Federal Minister for National Regulation and Services Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan will lead a rally in Sialkot district.
The participants will be carrying banners and placards demanding freedom for Kashmiris and will also chant slogans against the Indian oppression besides, burning the effigies of extremist Hindu leaders.
A special cycle rally will also be taken out by Youth Council Sialkot to express solidarity with the people of Indian held Kashmir.
Flour bags stolen : Three thieves took away 52 flour bags from a shop located on Quaid-e-Azam Road in Gojra here the other night. Shopowner Muhammad Rashid lodged a complaint with the Gojra City Police, submitting that that the flour bags were kept outside the shop from where three unidentified people took that away.
The police have registered a case.
