PESHAWAR - Alhaj Dilroz Khan, Chairman Complaint and Redressal Cell (C&RC) established at Chief Minister Secretariat Peshawar, has called upon the people to register their complaints related to the performance of provincial government departments through telephone, fax or email from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm daily.He shared contacts number including phone number 091-9222460-4,Fax number 091-9212237, email: email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org or website: www.crckp.gov.pk for redressal of complaints.In a statement he said that the staff of the cell took action without any delay on complaints thus received because Chief Minister Pervez Khattak was taking personal interest in solution of the public complaints and personally monitors the actions and matters related to the immediate redressal of these complaints. He said that the establishment of the cell meant to get the public rid of visiting government offices for the redressal of their petty issues and thereby to improve the service delivery of public offices; hence the public should register their complaints and grievances in the cell without any hesitation."The chief minister has now assigned special tasks to the provincial ministers, advisors and special assistance to CM to sit in the cell turn by turn to personally receive public complaints and to issue on the spot directives to the concerned quarters for the redressal of these complaints," the chairman maintained. Giving details about the last week activities of the cell he told that hundreds of public complaints of various nature were received in the cell which were taken up with the concerned quarters for redressal. Making a mention of some of the important complaints, Dilroz Khan said a complaint was received against constable of elite force from Bannu that he took Rs. 30000 from a citizen as bribe for recruitment in police on which the complaint cell took action and as result the money was returned back to the complainant while directives were issued for action against the constable. Similarly a resident of Kaskoruna Mardan registered a complaint against the Patwari of his respective area alleging that the Patwari took Rs. 40000 for mutation of property but the mutation was not registered by the Patwari upon which the cell took immediate action and the money was returned back to the complainant besides initiating action against the accused. The chairman continued that a resident of Nauthia Peshawar made a complaint against the Gulbahar Police Station for not arresting a man who was involved in firing on his sister and brother in law. The cell took up the case with SHO Gulbahar police station wherein one Mohammad Amjad involved in the firing case was arrested. Similarly dozens of public complaints regarding over billing, illegal disconnection of electricity and gas bills and other such problems were resolved by contacting the concerned PESCO and SNGPL authoritiesThis news was published in The Nation newspaper.
