QUETTA - Back-to-back blasts on Saturday killed one and injured at least seven others, including a senior politician in the Balochistan.In provincial capital of Quetta, Abdul Majid Abro, who is a Member of Provincial Assembly and also an adviser to the chief minister, received minor injuries along with two of his colleagues in a remote controlled bomb attack.Earlier the same day, another blast in Sibi district, killed one person and wounded four others. "Unknown people had parked an explosive-laden motorcycle at a taxi stand in Bakhtiarabad town on the main Sibi-Jacobabad national highway," Muhammad Akhtar, a local administration official said.So far, no one has claimed responsibility for the attacks. Chief Minister Dr Malik Baloch condemned the attacks and sought report from authorities concerned. Security was beefed up after the blasts. The dead and injured were shifted to hospitals and law enforcement agencies cordoned off the areas around the explosion sites.A bomb disposal squad official said that four kilograms of explosives were used in Quetta blast, detonated by remote control. According to police, PML-N MPA Majid Abro was on his way to airport when explosives planted along Airport Road went off with a huge bang, injuring Abro and his two companions.
