Faryal asks Qamar to set up Bepco

AHMEDPUREAST - PPP Women Wing Central President Mrs Faryal Talpur has directed Federal Minister for Water & Power Naveed Qamar to visit the district till July 15 and announce the establishment of Bahawalpur Electric Power Company in the district. She was chairing a meeting in Zardari House Islamabad. It was attended by Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme Mrs Farzana Raja, Federal Minister for Water & Power Naveed Qamar, Pakistan Baitul Mal Chairman Zammurd Khan, MNA Arif Aziz Sheikh, former MNA Malik Aamar Yar Warran, PPP District President Shakar Mirza, General Secretary Ali Ahsan and Deputy Secretary Information Asif Farooqi, a press release issued here said. Mrs Faryal also directed the minister to ensue the reduction in duration of loadshedding and include 20 megawatts electricity in the quota allocated for the district. The meeting reviewed the PPP organisational affairs and asked the district president to submit his proposals to strengthen the party at grassroots level. It also discussed the prevailing situation in all the national and provincial constituencies of the district and assigned joint task to PPP office-bearers. Besides, a meeting with MNAs sanctioned the establishment of Benazir Computer Internship Training Programme for 7,000 local youth. The leaders drew the attention of Mrs Faryal Talpur towards Baitulmal funds whereupon she asked Chairman Zammurd Khan to expedite the issuance of grants to the deserving.
