LAHORE- Pakistan People's Party (PPP) leader and Senator Aitzaz Ahsan Saturday predicted that the sloganeers of a revolution in Pakistan would be returning to Toronto.
Addressing a program held here at Lahore Press Club in connection with PPP's Black Day against former president Ziaul Haq's coup of 1977, Aitzaz Ahsan asked Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Dr. Tahirul Qadri whether or not the latter had torn apart his Canadian passport.
Questioning the veracity of the revolution, Aitzaz said 'what kind of revolution it is where Dr Qadri is accompanied on his right side by Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and on the left by Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi'.
He observed that the incumbent government appeared to be scared of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan's long march.
Aitzaz Ahsan said massive rigging took place during May 11 general elections in the country.
He said the Pakistani passport would have enjoyed respect had PPP's founder leader and former prime minister Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto been still alive.
