India subjecting Kashmiris to worst kind of state terrorism: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq

SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyet forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has said that India is subjecting the Kashmiri people to the worst kind of state terrorism for continuing struggle to get rid of its bondage.

The Hurriyet forum in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Kashmiris’ struggle was based on principles of justice and was aimed at securing their inalienable right to self-determination.

It strongly condemned the recent statement of the puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, blaming the shutdown calls given by Hurriyet leadership as reason of economic instability in the territory. It said that such assertions were meant to cover the heinous crimes perpetuated by pro-India parties by selling out the interests of the people to New Delhi. It maintained that the policies of the pro-India parties were the basic reason cause economic crisis in the occupied territory.

The loot of Kashmir’s resources by New Delhi had brought economic instability to the territory which was a deliberate ploy to make the Kashmiris dependent and the only people who were deriving benefits from it were pro-India politicians, it added.

The Hurriyet forum strongly denounced the use of force by Indian police and troops in Sopore during the holy month of Ramazan and firing of tear gas and pepper gas on a peaceful, religious gathering on Shab-e-Qadr in the town.
