Rawalpindi- Punjab government reduced the public transport fare by Rs 1 per stop on urban routes in Rawalpindi district. Notification in this regard has been issued and new fares have been implemented. Public transport fare has been reduced from Rs 17 to Rs 16 upto 4 kilometer distance, Rs 22 to Rs 21 from 4 to 8 kilometer distance, Rs 26 to Rs 25 from 8 to 14 kilometer, Rs 32 to Rs 31 from 14 to 22 kilometer, Rs 38 to Rs 37 from 22 to 30 kilometer and Rs 44 to Rs 43 above 30 kilometer.
