Justice hard to deliver in this corrupt system: Governor Punjab

LAHORE- Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said that whole system of Pakistan was corrupt as he being governor is also helpless to provide justice to those people whose property and factories are occupied bythe land mafia.

Talking to a private TV channel, the Punjab governor said that he had good relations with PTI chief Imran Khan and PAT chief Dr Tahir ul Qadri when he was a member of British parliament, adding that a politician leveled baseless allegations against him about his role in the so called London plan but he was not involved in the conspiracy.

The governor said that he wanted the local bodies elections to be held in the country using biometric system as all political parties including the PTI, PML-N and PPP had made promises to hold local bodies polls in the country within three to six months but after one and half year of the generalelections the LB polls could not be held.

Chaudhry Sarwar said the people rejected the PPP in general elections due to its performance and PML-N will face the same result in Punjab in next elections if it failed to fulfill its promises.

He said that the government should focus to eliminate power load shedding, control price hike, and provide justice to the people in the country. The Governor said that international community gave millions of dollars to the federal and provincial governments for purification of the water across the country but the filtration plants of the water were still not functional. He said that overseas Pakistanis were a backbone for economy. He said he has asked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to resolve their problems.
