Sikh pilgrims reach Nankana Saheb for Baba Guru Nanak’s birth anniversary celebrations

LAHORE/NANKANA SAHEB- More than 1100 Sikh pilgrims have reached Nankana Saheb to take part in the 546th birth anniversary celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak.

The Sikh pilgrims were brought to Nankana Saheb through two special trains from Wagah border where they were received by Chairman of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) Mr Siddiqul Farooq.

Talking to media, Sikh pilgrims said that they were not scared of the suicide bombing at the Wagah border.  They praised the warm welcome accorded to them.

Meanwhile strict security arrangements have been made at Nankana Saheb and police have arrested four suspects.  They have been identified as Sadhu, Hidayatullah, Umer Farooq and Riasat Ali. All the four persons had arrived at Nankana Saheb from Faisalabad.
