22 more trade bodies embark on protests

SARGODHA - As many as 22 trade organisations on Tuesday announced to observe complete shutdown strike on Wednesday (today). The organisations joint meeting observed that the unscheduled power loadshedding was causing irreparable loss to their trade and business. Later, the traders staged a protest demonstration while chanting slogans against the federal government and the Wapda authorities. Meanwhile, lawyers observed complete strike against the consistent loadshedding and boycotted court proceedings on Tuesday on the call of District Bar Association Sargodha. The DBA leaders said that loadshedding was affecting court work. They demanded the government should end to power cuts immediately. The litigants coming from far-flung areas were facing difficulties due to lawyers strike. Furthermore, people staged protest demonstration against power outage at New Satellite Town led by PML-N district organiser Youth Malik Asad Akram. On the occasion, Asad said Pakistan was being sent to darkness by the incumbent rulers but the PML-N would not tolerate it.
