Peshawar- Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated today in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA.
Eid congregations were organized in Bannu, Hangu, Kohat, Charsadda, and some areas of Peshawar. Eid prayers were also offered in North Waziristan Agency. Following Eid prayers, people slaughtered sacrificial animals to follow the act of Hazrat Abraham (AS), and distributed the meat among relatives, neighbours, deserving and poor. In other cities of Pakistan, the Eid will be celebrated on Monday. The federal government has announced three public holidays for the annual festival –from Oct 6 (Monday) to Oct 8 (Wednesday).
