Sindh Assembly secretariat receives Iftikhar Alam, Dr Sagheer's resignations

KARACHI: Sindh Assembly secretariat today received resignations of Dr Sagheer and Iftikhar Alam.

Dr Sagheer and Iftikhar Alam were former members of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and now joined Pak Sar Zameen party, supervised by Mustafa Kamal.

Iftikhar Alam said that he contacted Speaker Sindh Assembly Agha Siraj Durrani and sent his resignation to the Assembly secretariat.

The Speaker may call both individuals for the confirmation of their resignation.

Earlier, Dr Sagheer while leaving MQM membership stated that he wishes to serve the country whilst defeating all of its adversaries, adding that the prosperity of Pakistan is linked with the prosperity of Karachi as the city serves as the jugular vein of the country.

He said that the politics of MQM’s leadership involves bloodshed in order to do point-scoring against political rivals.

Iftikhar Alam said that talks regarding disintegration of Pakistan were carried out within the circles of Muttahida and that photoshoot is done with the dead bodies of the workers who give up their lives for the party.

He said that to win MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s trust is a great challenge for any worker as the Muttahida chief simply does not care even if party members sacrifice their lives for him.
