Polio tally 266 as four new cases emerge

ISLAMABAD : Four new cases of polio emerged in Pakistan on Friday, taking this year’s tally to 266. Of the four new cases, two pertained to Federally Administered Tribal Areas, one to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the fourth was from Balochistan. In recent times, polio campaign teams faced a lot of difficulties in their task to administer polio drops to children across the country. With lack of security, members of these teams faced threats and were attacked on many occasions.
