KARACHI: Main accused in the Baldia Factory Fire case Abdul Rahman alias Bhola has been arrested from Thailand by Interpol and repatriated to Pakistan, according to sources.
Abdul Rehman was the Muttahida Qaumi Movement(MQM)`s sector-in charge of Baldia town. Earlier he went to Dubai from Pakistan, and then shifted to Malaysia and then settled in Thailand. 40 commandos raided a room at the Royal Garden Home Hotel in Soi Nana in Bangkok from where he was arrested.
During the hearing of Baldia Factory Fire case the anti-terrorism court grilled authorities for not being able to arrest Hammad Siddiqui and Rehman alias Bhola. The court had ordered the interior ministry to arrest fugitives with the help of Interpol.
A JIT probing the matter stated that Hammad Siddiqui had ordered Rahman alias Bhola and others to set the factory on fire.
On the other hand, Paksarzameen Party and Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan has refuted allegations in separate statements that Rahman was once associated to their parties.
