Kashmir Day observed with national enthusiasm

Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed here on Wednesday to express absolute solidarity with the Kashmiris, to jerk the conscience of the world and to force the United Nations for implementation of its resolutions on Kashmir.
Daylong programmes started with special prayers for unity, solidarity and prosperity of the country as well as for early liberation of Indian held Kashmir in all mosques of the district. On the occasion Quran Khawani was also held for the Kashmiri martyrs. The main protest was held under the auspices of Jamaat-e-Islami at Chowk Allama Iqbal for expressing solidarity with the Kashmiris struggling for the liberation of their motherland from Indian yoke.
Speakers while addressing the meeting said that Kashmiri freedom fighters were trying to resolve Kashmir issue with their blood deserved serious attention of United Nation, OIC, and all freedom loving nations of the world. They said the silence of United Nations and Champions of human rights over the serious violation of human rights, abduction of women and gang rape incidents as well as custodial killing in held valley is indicating that under a planned conspiracy the Indian occupation forces were butchering innocent Kashmiris in the held valley.
Protest meetings were held at different places to condemn the highhandedness and brutalities of Indian troops in held valley as well as to express solidarity with their Kashmiri brothers. The speakers urged the United Nations to take notice on serious human rights violations in held valley and wide range killing of innocent Kashmiris struggling.
“It is very unfortunate that champions of human rights and peace had sealed their mouth on growing human rights violations and killing of Kashmiris,” they said.
A human chain was formed by the people of Sucheetgarh, Charwah, Chaprar, Bajwat, Bajra Garhi, Jang Mor, Kingra, Umeraanwali, Looni ,Kheri, Chamliyal, Sabzpeer along the Sialkot Working Boundary. Muhammad Ishaq led the human chain.
Meanwhile, the people observed the Kashmir Solidarity Day with traditional zeal, fervor and enthusiasm in Sialkot district on Sunday and they expressed complete solidarity with the people of Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The religious organisations including Jamaatud Daawa, Sunni Tehreek and Jamaat-e-Islami took out rallies in Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial, Uggoki, Pasrur, Chawinda, Badiana and surrounding areas. A large number of the people participated in these rallies. The participants were holding banners and placards and chanting anti-India slogans.
In Sialkot City, the people participated in All Parties Kashmir rally which began from Sialkot city’s congested Allama Iqbal Chowk and ended at district courts after passing through all the main roads and bazaars. Several local Kashmiri leaders, MPAs, senior journalists and the members of Sialkot District Bar Association (DBA) participated in the rally.
The hundreds of activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Shabab-e-Milli took out a anti India rally to express complete solidarity with the oppressed people of Kashmir. The rally began from Sialkot city’s congested Allama Iqbal Chowk and ended at District Courts after passing through from all the main roads and bazaars.
Meanwhile, the PML-N MNA Armughan Subhani said that the international community could not ignore the sacrifices of the people of Occupied Jammu & Kashmir. He was addressing a Kashmir Conference. Muhammad Ishaq, MPA Ch Tariq Akhtar Subhani, former provincial minister Ch Khush Akhtar Subhani and Sufi Muhammad Ishaq were also present.
The MNA expressed grave concern over the rising human rights violations, custodial killings and genocide of the innocent Kashmiri people by the Occupant Indian Army in the Held Valley. He revealed that these nasty practices were enough to shake the conscience of the international community.
The MNA urged the UN to ensure early implementation of its resolutions on Kashmir as per the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. He said that solution of Kashmir dispute has now become vital for ensuring sustainable peace in the Indo-Pak Subcontinent, as this prolonged delayed Kashmir dispute has also become a flash point between the two nuclear neighbours.
He said that the protection of the rights of Kashmiri people was the top priority of the government and it was making an all-out effort for this purpose.
He narrated that Kashmir Day is a day dedicated to show Pakistan’s solidarity and support and unity with the Kashmiri people, their ongoing freedom movement and to pay homage to Kashmiri martyrs who lost their lives fighting for freedom.
He added that Pakistan supports and will continue to support its Kashmiri brethren politically, morally and diplomatically. Pakistan has time and again stressed for the resolution of the issue. Pakistan stands firm on Kashmir issue and believes that the dispute should be resolved according to the wishes of Kashmiris and resolution of UN Security Council.
Addressing a Kashmir conference held under the auspices of local NGO Mateebul Islam Foundation Sialkot, Supreme Commander of Hizbul Mujahideen Syed Salahuddin said that the Pakistan’s intentions to give Most Favoured Nation to India would be totally against the Kashmir cause and Pakistan’s friendship with India would be equal to ruin the Kashmir struggle and the thousands of sacrifices of the innocent Kashmiris. He added that Pervez Musharraf’s soft stance on Kashmir Issue badly affected the cause.
He revealed that the freedom is the basic right of the people and nobody could deny the fact. He urged the world community to use its complete influence to globally pressurize India for halting the larger scale human rights violations, custodial killings and genocide of the oppressed Kashmiri people by the Occupant Indian Army in the Occupied Jammu& Kashmir.
He narrated that India was trying to make Pakistan a barren land by stopping water in the rivers flowing towards Pakistan especially in River Chenab since 2008. He added that the sacrifices of the hundreds of the thousands of the Kashmiri people would soon become fruitful in shape of freedom of Kashmir from Indian yoke. He said that Jehad will continue till the Day of Judgment, adding that every Muslim is incomplete without Jehad. He said that an amicable solution to all the problems being confronted by the Muslim Ummah lies in Jehad. He said that Jehad would also pave the way for curbing anti-Islam conspiracies.
Addressing the participants of a Kashmir rally taken out by Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) and Shabab-e-Milli, All Parties Hurriyat Conference Jammu and Kashmir Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi expressed complete solidarity with the oppressed people of the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
He said the sacrifices of thousands of innocent Kashmiri martyrs would become fruitful soon. He revealed that peace could never be promoted in South Asia without solving the issue. He termed Kashmir a key to peace. He urged the Pakistan government to adopt a solid policy regarding the Kashmir dispute with India.
He urged the world to take serious notice of the Indian atrocities in Kashmir by Occupant Indian Army for the last 25 years, saying that it should now be enough to shake the conscience of the international community.
Addressing the participants of another rally taken out by Jamaatud Daawa in Sialkot, central leader of Jamaatud Daawa Pakistan Rana Irshad Salfi expressed complete solidarity with the innocent and oppressed people of Kashmir.
In Sargodha, Jamaat-e-Islami, Jamaatud Dawa and PML-N activists took out a procession which commenced from Quainchi More and ended at Shaheen Chowk after marching various roads and bazaars. Meanwhile, a rally took out from Tehsil Municipal Administration office led by DCO Tariq Mehmood. A huge number of citizen trader students and people from all walks of life participated in the rally while picture exhibition presenting Kashmeries strives for freedom was also arranged at Jinnah Hall.
In Toba Tek Singh, about a dozen rallies were brought out in Kamalia, Gojra and Pirmahal. The JI workers took out a rally from civil lines which ended on Jhang road. It was addressed by advocate Mian Arshad Javed, Mian Wakil Ahmad, Abid Mujahid and Mian Saeed. Jamatud Dawa took out another rally from Housing Colony to Press Club where district ameer Shakirullah, Dr Rafiq Anwar, Qari Ismail, Awais and Shamasuzzaman Qadri spoke.
In Sambrial, the people took out rallies with participation of a large number of people including local Kashmiri leaders, candidates of various mainstream political parties, senior journalists and the members of Sambrial Bar Association. The rallies begaan from Sambrial city’s congested Main GT Road and ended at City after passing through from all the main roads and bazaars, holding banners and placards and chanted anti-India slogans. Hundreds of activists took out the anti India rally to express complete solidarity with the oppressed people of neighbouring Occupied Jammu & Kashmir on Kashmir Day. President of Union of Journalist Dr Ameen Raza, Secretary General Rizwan Mahdi and Imran Sharif urged India to end slaughter of innocent Kashmiris in Kashmir. He condemned brutal activities of Indian forces and urged the world to come forward and play their role in stopping the genocide of innocent Kashmiris.
The students of various institutions held walks and programmes on the occasion. Complete strike was observed throughout the district and business centres, including cotton yarn market, grain market, green markets, cloth markets, grocery markets and shops, remained closed.
In Bahawalpur, the day dawned with special prayers in the city mosques for early liberation of the Held Valley of Jammu & Kashmir and freedom of the innocent Kashmiris struggling for right to self-determination from the clutches of Indian forces.
Various social, cultural, literary, political and religious organisations carried out rallies to mark the day. The participants were carrying banners, placards and flags to extend complete solidarity and support for the Kashmir cause. They chanted slogans against injustice, atrocities and dual standards of the so called super powers on the Kashmir issue and demanded end to Indian atrocities in the Held Valley. The participants of the rallies also formed a human chain.
In Mandi Bahauddin, people took out several rallies at Mandi Bahauddin, Malakwal and major towns of the district. Main rallies were arranged by PTI, JI, Anjuman Talba-e-Islam and Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society. These rallies terminated in front of Press Club where their respective leaders made speeches. PTI leader Zafrullah Tarar said Pakistan is incomplete without Kashmir.
He said the Kashmiris had been struggling and giving sacrifices for freedom. Pakistanis always stood with the Kashmiris in their struggle. He criticised the rulers for failing to resolve Kashmir issue. Now, the situation was such that the leaders of political parties were not able to stabilise even the country, not to speak of supporting the Kashmiris, he lamented.
MPA Syed Mahfooz Mashdi, Farooq Sahi, Major (r) Nasir Javed and other speakers urged the rulers of both the countries to resolve the burning issue of Kashmir to bring peace in South Asia. They all expressed solidarity with Kashmiris and vowed to continue their support to them. District officers and staff held a meeting at TMA Hall to highlight the cause of Kashmir. ADC addressed the meeting and showed government commitment to the resolution of Kashmir dispute.
In Attock, two rallies were held by Jamaat-e-Islami and TMA Attock. People from different walks of life attended the rallies. Later, a function was held at Fatima Jinnah Hall where ADCG Kinza Murtaza was the chief guest. While addressing the gathering, Assistant Commissioner Nazarat Ali, TMO Aftab Ahmad, Shierren Aslam, Sheikh Salman Sarwar demanded that the people of Kashmir should be given their right to self-determination in accordance with UN Resolutions.
They said, “We support the people of Kashmir and condemn the atrocities of the Indian Army. Kashmir is an integral part of Pakistan and the people of Pakistan will continue supporting Kasmiris morally, politically and diplomatically. Kashmir is jugular vein of Pakistan but India illegally occupied it and has been committing atrocities to suppress them.
In Nowshera Virkan, Town Administration organised a seminar at Town Hall. Speakers highlighted the importance of the day and expressed solidarity with the people of Kashmir. They demanded that the international community in general and the world bodies in particular should intervene and force India to stop shedding innocent Kashmiris’ blood.
The Kashmiris should have the right to decide their fate according to the UN resolutions, they said. The activists brought out a rally from TMA office which concluded at Haidri chowk where Member of National Assembly Azhar Qayum Nahra addressed the gathering. He said that the whole nation is united on Kashmir cause and the government would continue diplomatic and moral support to Kashmiri brethren. A large number of people including politicians, teachers, students, journalists, traders and religious parities participated in the activities.
