Housemaid raped, strangled
 
 
 


LAHORE- Another case of housemaid murder surfaced as a 16-year-old maid was strangled after she was allegedly gang-raped by three brothers in the precinct of Faisal Town Police Station here on Sunday.
Police took all three accused namely Yasir, Asim and Atif in their custody and registered an FIR against them on the application of Shamim Bibi, the mother of the deceased.
Police said Azra, daughter of a labourer, Muhammad Jaffar, who belonged to Pattoki, was found dead at the house of Malik Shaukat, the father of the accused, in Mochipura area of Faisal Town.
The complainant said that accused Asim in the morning told them that their daughter had gone missing. But later he changed his statement and said that the body of their daughter was lying at the stairs of their home. After which the parents rushed to the scene to see their daughter dead. The mother of the girl fell unconscious after she saw her dead-body.
Meanwhile, police reached the spot and took the body into custody.
After taking notice of the incident, SP ordered police to arrest the three brothers Yasir, Asim and Atif and to register an FIR. However, Incharge Investigation Anwar Cheema said they were unsure about, however the medical report would clear the picture.
He said that they had registered an FIR against three brothers after recording the statement of girl’s mother Shamim. He said Shamim alleged three brothers that they gang-raped the deceased and later strangled her to death.
On other hand, the accused family denied all allegations leveled against them saying that they did not know abouth her death. Two accused brother Yasir and Atif were married and working with a travel agency at Shimla hill while their younger brother Asim worked with his father Malik Shaukat in Chungi Amarsaddhu.
