Gas tariff hike to aggravate situation

KHAN GARH - PML-N Leader Nawabzada Iftikhar Khan has lashed out at the government, saying that the government has failed completely to provide any sort of relief to the masses who have been reel under the skyrocketing prices, worst lawlessness and crippling electricity and gas loadshedding. Talking with this scribe here Tuesday, the PML-N leader pointed out that after exorbitant hike in the electricity tariff now the surge in the gas tariff had rung alarm bells for both the domestic and industrial sector. The gas unit has been jacked up 15 to 20 per cent for the domestic consumers, 69 per cent for CNG and 96 per cent for the industrial sector which shudder the power outages hit industries to a halt. He said the government has no plan to take solid steps and steer the country out of these crises and instead causing further deterioration. Nawabzada Iftikhar argued that had the government supported and extended all out help to Dr Sammar Mubarakmand, the situation would have quite different and the country would have been able to combat these crises. About the three of CNG Stations in Punjab, he said that the decision is condemnable and would result in more miseries for the Public at large.
