Blast, firing on Quetta's Saryab Road injure at least 4

Explosives placed in garbage set off in front of the Excise & Taxation office on Quetta's Saryab Road around 2 am today.

The blast was followed by rounds of firing, according to eyewitnesses.

According to reports an FC vehicle carrying a foreign contingent was the target of the firing and the blast.

At least four people have been injured and cars and motorcycles damaged in the blast.

Reports say the explosives were set off with a remote control device. Around six kilograms of explosive material is believed to have been used in the attack.

Police, FC personnel and LEAs have cordoned off the area, and eight people have been taken into custody for investigation.

The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital.
