Two killed in Hangu suicide blast



HANGU - Two persons including a suicide bomber were killed while two others sustained injuries as a suicide bomber blew himself up outside a house of a rival militant commander in district Hangu on Friday morning.
According to details, the suicide bomber detonated himself near a house being used by members of militant commander Maulana Nabi Hanfi group, a rival group of TTP at Feroz Ghundai area of Sarkdana locality. Resultantly, Ibrahim Khan, a resident of Orakzai Agency associated with Nabi Hanfi group, died while two other persons - Jehanzeb and Shahid – received injuries. Besides, the targeted house was also destroyed in the blast. The injured were shifted to an unknown location. Soon after the blast, police rushed to the spot and cordoned off the whole area.  DPO Dr Mian Saeed Ahmad while talking to media persons said that it was around 7am, when a suicide bomber on foot detonated himself outside rival commander Maulana Nabi Hanfi.  Resultantly, two persons including the bomber and a member of Hanfi group was killed, while the house also collapsed at Sarkdana village.
A spokesman for Nabi Hanfi group Abu Siaf said that the suicide bomber was killed by firing before reaching his target.
The TTP spokesman Ihsanullah Ihsan claimed responsibility for the suicide attack.
