All set for anti-polio drive

BAHAWALNAGAR - DCO Syed Rizwan Mehboob has warned the administration of private schools of cancellation of registration if any school refused to administration of anti-polio drops to their school children.
He was addressing a combined meeting of the Health, Education and Revenue officers which was held to review the next three-day round of Polio Eradication Programme scheduled to be started April 15 in the district. The meeting was told that all arrangements had been made for administration of anti-polio vaccine at all the entry and exit points of the district.
The participants were informed that 4,36,062 children would be administered anti-polio drops. For this purpose, 1,045 teams have been constituted including 860 mobile teams, 129 fix teams and 59 transit teams to ensure hundred per cent coverage.
Nominations rejected: The Returning Officer constituency PP-279 Bahawalnagar-3, rejected the nomination papers of Rana Abdul Rauf on charge of holding fake degree.  According to details, Returning Officer Atta Rabbani scrutinized the nomination papers of the candidate and rejected the same on degree objection raised by rival candidate Rao Ijaz Ali Khan.
