PTI to resist any move to rig by-polls, says Mehmood

LAHORE - PTI would put stiff resistance to any possible move of rigging in the upcoming by-polls, while it would continue to raise voice against the rigging carried out in general elections, claimed Punjab Assembly Opposition Leader, Mian Mehmood-ur-Rasheed.
Mehmood, who is also senior PTI leader, talking to party leaders and workers after an Iftar dinner on Tuesday, said that deputing Pak Army during the by-elections was vital for the transparent conduct of the by-elections.
He claimed that PTI leading the Opposition parties in Punjab Assembly was fighting for the rights of the people of the province, as the PML-N-led government in the province and Centre was least interested in the issues of the masses.
Opposition Leader alleged that government was breaking all records of corruption and the opposition would expose the corrupt practices of the rulers.
He while condemning the raise in electricity tariff said that country could not progress without ending the energy crisis.
He said that mandate of the PTI was stolen by a political party during the general elections but followers of Imran Khan would block any move to relating stealing the mandate of the PTI in the by-polls.
