ISLAMABAD: The custom officials at Islamabad Airport foiled a bid of smuggling foreign currency abroad and arrested an accused today.
According to the airport sources, Dubai bound passenger was carrying foreign currency including 86,600 Saudi Riyals, 49,500 UAE Dirhams worth millions in Pakistan currency in sweets box for smuggling to Dubai.
The custom officials arrested the accused identified as Khushdil Rehman. He belongs from district Swabi of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). The recovered foreign currency was confiscated by the custom officials and the detainee was being interrogated.
