HAFIZABAD/SIALKOT/ KHANEWAL/AHMEDPUR EAST/BAHAWALPUR - Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) was celebrated across the province with great religious zeal and fervour on Sunday.
In Hafizabad, the holy event was observed amid tight security as all the city roads and streets were decorated with multi-coloured flags and buntings. All intersections were blocked by erecting beautiful arches and replicas of Khana-e-Ka’aba and Masjid-e-Nabvi. Most of the buildings were also illuminated and thanks to Wapda which ensured uninterrupted power supply during Saturday night and Sunday.
Several Milad processions were taken out in the city, while the biggest one was taken out from Milad Chowk on Vanike Road, which was led by Barrister Syed Waseemul Hassan Naqvi, Syed Fida Hussain Shah, Syed Usman Naqvi, Rana Muhammad Asghar and Hafiz Azizur Rehman, Qari Ghulam Mustafa and large number of workers of Sunni Tehreek, Ahle Sunnat, Dawat-i-Islami and Minhajul Quran.
The day was dawned by fireworks displayed early in the morning and during the night. Special ‘Langar’ were arranged at different places. Some organizations distributed sweets and fruit in the hospitals.
In Sahwial, special prayers were offered for the prosperity of the country and unity of the Muslim Ummah. Main procession was taken out by Jamaat Ahle-Sunnat led by Hafiz Masood Ahmad Qadri, while a large number of citizens participated in it.
Addressing the participants, Hafiz Masood Ahmed highlighted the different aspects of Seerat-un-Nabi (PBUH) and called upon the masses to follow His preaches. Anjuman-e-Amamia and students of Madrassa Shoaay Noor also took out processions, which were led by Syed Mehdi Raza Hamdani and Muhammad Hassan Masoomi of Amamia Organisation respectively. Sweets were distributed at different places of city as a special function was also organised in Central Jail Sahwial to mark the Eid Meladun Nabi (PBUH).
SIALKOT: The holy event was celebrated with religious enthusiasm in Sialkot district’s all the four Sialkot, Daska, Sambrial and Pasrur tehsils.
Chief Organizer Jammat Ahle Sunnah Punjab Allama Qari Khalid Mehmood led the main procession, which was taken out from Markazi Jamia Masjid Noor Daska.
All the bazaars, markets, shopping centres, streets and city roads were illuminated decorated. Almost all the religious organizations organised the Mehfil-e-Darood-o-Salaam and Naat competitions in all the mosques.
Meanwhile, the police maintained foolproof security arrangements for ensuring law & order, peace as no untoward incident was reported from any part of the district. DPO Syed Ali Mohsin told the newsmen that the police were put on high alert and the holidays of all the policemen had already been cancelled. He revealed that the inter-city police patrolling system was made further effective, as the special police squads were also patrolling in the bazaars and markets. DCO Mujahid Sher Dil said that the policemen and personnel of law enforcement agencies kept vigilant eyes on the dubious persons to avert any incident.
SAMBRIAL: Scores of rallies were taken out and congregations were held in the city to mark the holy day. The day was dawned with special prayers for development, peace, unity and brotherhood among the Muslims. Special security arrangements were made to maintain law & order across the city.
TOBA TEK SINGH: Dozens of small rallies were taken out from different parts of the city and merged in a big rally at Jamia Mosque Akbari, from where a big rally started which was led by Tanzeem Ulema Ahle Sunnah President Maulana Munem Siddiqi, Maulana Shamsuzzaman Qadri, Allama Hameeduddin Rizvi and Mufti Abdul Manan. Participants marched through all bazaars and roads of the city.
SHERGARH: All the mosques, buildings and streets were beautifully decorated with lights and buntings, while rallies were also taken out to mark the day.
The main procession of the day was taken out from Jamia Farooqia Rizviz, which was led by Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat President Mian Amjad Saleem. The procession passed through Tahir Academy building, Karnal Chowk, Hussaini Mor, Milad Chowk, Main bazaar and ended at the Markazi Jamia Masjid. Ulema and scholars en route addressed the gatherings throwing light on the importance of the day.
KHANEWAL: To mark Eid Miladu Nabi (PBUH) in the city, special activities including reciting of the Holy Quran, Mehfil-e-Naat and special prayers were arranged. Several processions marched on roads and showed their great love for the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Religious, political and social organisations set up camps in different areas of the city to welcome the Milad processions. The main gathering was held at Markazi Jamia Masjid, where renowned scholars addressed to the faithful citizens.
AHMEDPUR EAST: The daylong programmes were started with special prayers in mosques and for early freedom of Kashmiris from Indian occupation. Milad processions were taken out in Ahmedpur East, Mubarakpur, Dera Nawab Sahib, Chanigoth, Uchsharif, Kotla Musa Khan and other areas of the district.
TMA had made special arrangements to mark this occasion under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner Waseem Anwar Khan while police contingents were deployed to avoid any untoward incident.
BAHAWALPUR: Like other parts of Punjab, Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH) was also celebrated in the city. Various social, cultural, literary, religious and political organisations of the area conducted different programmes to highlight the uncounted qualities of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Naat and speech competitions among the students were also held in different educational institutes.
Sweets were distributed among children, city hospitals and prisons on the occasion.
RENALA KHURD: Assistant Commissioner Rana Shakeel Aslam along with Peer Saeed Ahmad Sabri and other Ulama led the main Milad rally, which was started from Shaukatabad Road. Peer Saeed Ahmad Sabri prayed on the starting of rally and Maulana Muhammad Ahmad Faridi highlighted different aspect of the life of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
NOORPUR THAL: Like other parts of the country, Eid Miladun Nabi, was also celebrated by the faithful in Thal tehsil with religious zeal and devotion. The ceremonies of darood and salam were organised across the tehsil.
QILA DIDAR SINGH: Eid Miladun Nabi was celebrated with great religious fervour and enthusiasm in the city. Procession of celebrations started after Zohr prayer from Jamia Masjid Sain Jote Ali towards Main Bazaar which was decorated with banners buntings and welcome slogans.
The procession of Eid Miladun Nabi passed through Main Bazaar and Purana Bazaar and culminated at Masjid Shaheedia.
The local police made foolproof security measures on the routes of Milad procession which was appreciated by the citizens.
