PESHAWAR - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has directed police high-ups and all district administrations concerned to provide foolproof security to polio teams of the World Health Organization (WH) during the polio drive in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The KPK Home and Tribal Affairs Department, while issuing a statement here on Wednesday, asked district police officials, divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners to make arrangements for providing security to the WHO polio campaigners.
It said that this decision has been taken after a meeting of security coordination committee. In this connection the Home and Tribal Affairs Department formally issued directives to the district administrations concerned. The WHO is planning to carry a polio drive so that to administer drops to those kids who have been deprived of vaccination during the last drive.
