FAISALABAD - Punjab Industries Minister Sardar Dost Muhammad Khan Khosa has said that the Punjab Government has attached great importance with healthcare sector and providing modern civic facilities to the citizens. He said that Punjab was the only Province which was striding on right direction for sustained development under good-governance and sagacious leadership of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to end the sense of deprivation among people. Addressing the Trustees of Faisalabad Development Trust (FDT) here Wednesday after inaugurating the Headquarters Office Building of the Trust in Commissioner Complex, the Minister lauded the efforts of the FDT for execution welfare projects in the health and education sectors which has helped a lot for furtherance of the welfare agenda of the Punjab government. Divisional Commissioner Syed Tahir Hussain, FDT Chairman Mian Muhammad Tayyab, Vice Chairman Shaiq Javaid and Chief of Industrial Police Liaison Committee (IPLC) Syed Omer Nazar Shah also addressed the function. MNA Abid Sher Ali, DCO Nasim Sadiq and FDT Trustees - Sheikh Hassan Munawar, Abid Kamal, Ahmed Shafi and Nazim Shahzad also attended the meeting. The minister said that the unemployment was the main issue and said that the Punjab Government was trying optimum to solve the issue. He asked the FDT Trustees and other Industrialists of Faisalabad to provide maximum employment opportunities to the jobless people in their industrial units. He appreciated the steps of the FDT for the construction of houses to disables families in Faisalabad, drastic steps in the health and education sectors and plantation for greenery in Faisalabad and added that the other effluent persons should also pursue it. He assured that the Punjab government would extend full cooperation to FDT for implementation of welfare projects. He announced that the government would attach top priority to the counselling by FDT Addressing on this occasion, Commissioner, Syed Tahir Hussain said that during the last year flood damages in Jhang and Chiniot Districts, as much as 300 houses were constructed in the flood-hit areas with the cooperation of moneyed people and FDT. He said that for the sustained development of Faisalabad, the FDT was incepted which is run by young entrepreneurs who are participating in these projects with full zeal and dedication and in a very short span of time, the execution of different urban development project was the prime incentives of this Business Community. He elaborated that under this platform ,a comprehensive and integrated program for free supply of medicines and food to the deserving patients in govt run hospitals is being launched by the FDT while the total educational expenses of the deserving students belonging to four provinces, Azad Kashmir and other remote areas of the country will be born by the FDT. Earlier, FDT Chairman, Mian Muhammad Tayyab, in his address of welcome told that according to the vision of commissioner, the FDT was constituted and repair and maintenance works at general bus stand, beautification of Jhang road and construction of model colony consisting of 30 houses in chak no.8,Sargodha road, and provision of medicines for needy patients in 3 top hospitals, the launching of green Faisalabad project and distribution of free Langer at various places and promotion of technical education were on top Agenda Item of the Trust.
