QUETTA-Chief of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Aftab Ahmed Sherpao said that the federal and provincial governments are not giving attention to the problems of displaced persons of North Waziristan.
Sherpao, who was also interior minister during Musharraf’s government, was talking to journalists today in Quetta where he arrived for the court hearing of Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case.
He said the federal and provincial governments have been engaged in exchange of allegations instead of offering attention to the problems of the IDPs of North Waziristan region.
Pakistan’s military has launched an operation against militants in the North Waziristan tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
Sherpao said that the number of migrants has been soaring with time. He said if the displaced persons not provided proper facilities, the gains of the military operation will go in vain.
