Imran Khan to spend Eid with IDPs

ISLAMABAD- Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will spend Eid-ul-Fitr days with Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).
In his statement on Twitter, Imran Khan wrote “I will be spending Eid with IDPs. Their stories are heart wrenching. We must ensure the crisis does not turn into a humanitarian disaster.”
On Sunday, he said in a press conference that he had never known that a military operation would be undertaken and added that he was well aware of the hardships being faced by the IDPs.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government also announced Ramazan package for the IDPs from North Waziristan Agency under which each family would get Rs 8,000.  
The chief minister has announced Rs 5,000 as Ramazan package and Rs 3,000 as rent for the internally displaced people of North Waziristan Agency. It said that the IDPs would get Rs3,000 rent for six months.
Over 56,000 livestock of the IDPs have been vaccinated with the help of the provincial government; it said adding over 759,835 IDPs have moved out of North Waziristan Agency. It further stated that 201 displaced families returned from Afghanistan through Kurram Agency, while the provincial government hospitals had been directed to provide free medical facilities to IDPs.
