ECP halts ballots' printing till SC verdict

Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has halted the printing of ballot papers, for local government polls in Islamabad until Supreme Court’s verdict.
As per details, the printing of ballot papers was scheduled to start from 6pm on 6 July. In a statement issued, ECP stated that the petition regarding local bodies polls in Islamabad scheduled for 25 July, is pending hearing with the Supreme Court, therefore, the process of printing of ballot papers will not be started till Supreme Court’s verdict.
