DASKA - Hundreds of people took out a rally under the aegis of Shabab-e-Milli as a protest against absence of facilities at Nadra office here.
The rally started from Jamia Farooqia and ended in front of the Nadra office after passing through all the main inter-city roads. Jamaat-e-Islami Daska Ameer Muhammad Afzal led the rally. The participants were carrying banners and placards, besides chanting slogans against the government.
Talking to the media, Afzal said that several applicants including B-Form seekers had fallen unconscious while standing in queues under the open sky at the office on College Road in sizzling hot weather.
He said that there was no proper arrangement of potable water or shade due to which applicants were suffering great ordeal. He strongly condemned the alleged inhuman treatment by the officials with the people. However, Nadra office In-Charge Hassan Bajwa said that these facilities would be provided soon.
