SIALKOT - Five persons including three women of local trader’s family were brutally gunned down by unidentified outlaws here in Sialkot city’s congested Kotli Behram locality Thursday evening.
According to senior police officials, some unidentified accused shot dead local trader Naveed Ahmed (55), his wife Musarrat Bibi (45), son Kashif Naveed (28 years old), daughters - Saba Naveed (27) and Sadaf Naveed (26) in their house.
The slain family’s neighbours told the police that they saw four veiled accused fleeing the scene when they came out of their house after heard to gunshots. The accused fled away on motorcycles. They said that they went to the house and found bullet riddled dead bodies with oozing blood.
The accused had shot them dead in their heads. The neighbours informed the police about this ghastly incident. Later, the police and Rescue 1122 officials shifted the dead bodies to Govt Allama Iqbal Memorial DHQ Hospital for autopsy.
The police officials suspected that old enmity could be the reason behind the carnage of the trader’s family.
Some police officials said that the police had also found a pistol from near the dead body of the slain trader, due to which the police had a doubt that the trader might had committed suicide after killing his family members. Senior police officials rushed to the spot and inquired about the gruesome incident. The Civil Line Police cordoned off the area and launched investigation.
