Muslims protest against forceful evictions in Jammu

Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, a protest demonstration was held in Srinagar against India’s conspiracy to evict the Muslims from their lands in Jammu region, Kashimiri media reported today..

According to Kashmir Media Service, the General Sectary of Jammu and Kashmir Gujjar Bakarwal Community, Mohammad Yasin talking to media on the sidelines of the protest said, “We are being forced to leave from the places wherein we have been living since years, and from last two months the puppet BJP Forest Minister is using bulldozers to destroy our homes
from forest land.”

“Not only Muslims but Hindus are also living there but why is only the Muslim community being forced and not the Hindus?” he asked.

The Gujjar Bakarwal Community gave the authorities an ultimatum of 10 days to stop such action against them or else they would hold wide-scale protests across India.

“If something untoward happens during the protests, the forest minister will be responsible,” the protestors warned.
