Imran Khan to address by-election rally on 25th

MIRPUR (AJK)
PTI Chief Imran Khan will address a public rally in Mirpur Azad Jammu & Kashmir on March 25, to be held in connection with the election campaign of the party candidate Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry for the scheduled March 29 by-election to Mirpur city LA-III seat of the AJK Legislative Assembly.
This was disclosed by Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, a former Prime Minister of AJK and the PTI’s candidate for the scheduled by-poll, while addressing a news conference at the PWD Rest House here on Friday.
He was flanked by his local comrades including Ch Muhammad Sideeque, former MDA chairman Ch Muhammad Mansha, former city Administrator Ch Amjad Hussain, former Deputy Administrator and scores of others.
On the occasion, the elders of the Jaat tribe from local thickly-populated Kharak area and formerly the right-hand men of his (Sultan) arch rival and PPP’s candidate in the by-poll Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf including Ch Muhammad Javed and Chaudhry Fareed Ahmed announced support and vote for Barrister Sultan in the scheduled by-election along with hundreds of their associates from the area. Sultan welcomed the new entrants into the party fold after parting ways with the PPP AJK.
At the same time, Barrister Sultan Mehmood warned about the reported endeavours from the ruling PPP AJK elite about postponement of the by-election.
“After smelling the impending convincing defeat to the ruling party’s candidate Ch. Ashraf in the scheduled by-poll, attempts are being allegedly made by the AJK’s ruling elite to postpone the election”, he alleged.
The PTI candidate said that Imran Khan would address the scheduled March 25 election rally in all respect even if the election was tried to be postponed and the scheduled by-electioneering rally would be turned into a “protest rally” against the impending postponement of the polls”, he declared. He underlined that the PPP-led AJK government already got the earlier scheduled March 15 by-election postponed for a couple of weeks for the reasons best known to them.
Barrister Sultan, who also heads of the PTI AJK Chapter, asserted his land-slide victory in the scheduled by-election wherein the citizens of Mirpur would vote against the ill-deeds, worst governance, malpractices and irregularities of the incumbent AJK rulers and brought the liberated territory at the verge of destruction, he added.
Sultan accused Premier Ch Majeed’s PPP-led coalition government of AJK of resorting to a great loss to the Kashmir freedom movement through unduly nourishing its favourites with the public funds.
