ISLAMABAD - The constituent parties of erstwhile Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) are most likely to convene an important meeting by the mid of September to discuss revival of MMA and ongoing political situation in the country. Almost all the formal partners of MMA would participate and important matters related to ongoing countrys situation, law and order situation and other important matters would be discussed in length, sources in JUI-F told TheNation. Almost all these religio-political factions, the sources said, are in touch with one another regarding revival of MMA and other important matters. Adopting one stance over important matters of the country is likely to be one of the purposes to convene this meeting, said the sources. In the upcoming meeting likely in couple of weeks, Karachi situation, Balochistan law and order situation, former provincial minister Zulfiqar Mirzas allegation levelled against Interior Minister Rehman Malik and MQM and other matters would likely to be deliberated. A member of Jamiat Ulema Islam (F), desiring not to be named, confirmed that the former coalition partners of MMA would convene meeting to discuss important matters. Revival of MMA is the top priority of JUI-F and all-out efforts are underway in this regards, he said, adding that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman was in contact with other religio-political parties (former MMA partners) regarding re-alliance among these factions. The sources said that almost all the former coalition partners are showing interest for the revival of MMA and further strategy would be chalked out in the upcoming meeting. The meeting is most likely to be participated by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F), Jumiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Tehreek Islami and others.
