Sialkot a crime prone city

SIALKOT - The dacoits, robbers and thieves remained on rampage in Sialkot district and looted gold ornaments, cash, electronics and other valuables worth millions of rupees in several strikes. Two unknown armed dacoits, wearing police uniform, looted Rs37,000 cash from the cashier of a filling station near village Glotiyaan, Daska on main Daska-Gujranwala Road, besides snatching rifle 222 from a private security guard. The accused fled away on a motorcycle. Two unknown armed dacoits also snatched Rs8,000 cash, gold ornaments worth Rs0.3 million and mobile phones from Muhammad Umer and his wife near village Malleyki, Daska. The culprits managed to escape from the scene. Daska Saddar police are still clueless about these two incidents. In Model Town Uggoki, some unknown thieves broke into the house of local trader Rana Babar Islam and escaped after looting Rs0.5 million cash and gold ornaments worth Rs0.6 million. On Majra-Begowala Road, a gang of as many as ten unknown dacoits set up a picket there and looted Rs0.3 million cash, gold ornaments worth millions of rupees and 32 mobile phones from 27 people including women. The accused also shot injured a person Hassan Abdullah upon offering resistance and fled away. Begowala police are investigating with no arrest made so far. Three unknown armed dacoits snatched gold ornaments worth Rs0.3 million, two mobile phones and Rs40,000 cash from a youth Asfand and his mother during a broad day light dacoity near Ghoray Wali Khaankah, Model Town, Sialkot city. Two unknown armed dacoits snatched gold ornaments worth Rs0.2 million, Rs15,000 cash and two mobile phones at gunpoint from a youth Kamran and his mother near Chawoni Sulehriyaan in the outskirts of Sialkot Cantt and fled away. Moreover, unknown thieves broke into a leather factory of Nasir Mehmood in Naikapura Sialkot city and decamped with leather gloves and related material worth of Rs one million In village Deet near Kotli Said Mir, four dacoits snatched a motorcycle (STM-8176), thousands of rupees in cash and two mobile phones at gunpoint from Ehsan and Kashif. Four dacoits also snatched a new motorcycle, mobile phone and Rs8,000 cash at gunpoint from village Ajjowali-based youth Naseer Ahmed at Gohadpur, Sialkot. In another incident, unknown thieves took away a motorcycle (STT-1150) of a trader Muhammad Ashraf from outside his house in Malkey Kalan. Some accused also stole a motorcycle (STM-6638) of Muhammad Iqbal from outside his house in Jessarwala near Daska. Police have registered separate cases with no arrest or recovery in this regard.
