ISLAMABAD  - The Election Commission Pakistan has given green signal for Local Government elections. However, the provinces have to make laws in this regard. Chief Election Commissioner Justice (r) Fakhruddin G Ibrahim chaired a meeting to view the preparations about the general elections on Thursday. Provincial members of the ECP, Director General NADRA and Secretary Census briefed the meeting about the preparations for general elections.The meeting viewed the situation that if general elections are called early how prepared is the ECP and to make up for any lack if any in this regard.
