SADIQABAD - PPP local leadership has clarified that his party had made no seat adjustment with the PML-Q in Sadiqabad yet.
The PPP tehsil Sadiqabad president further said that his party had not yet decided to field its own candidate or to support a PML-Q candidate in PA-296, adding that a decision in this regard would be made in line with the workers and voters’ desires.
He said that recommendations for a candidate’s nomination in the constituency had been sent to PPP’s Political Affairs In-Charge Faryal Talpur and its Senior Vice Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani. He further said that for success of the PPP’s public meeting to be held on April 21, the party’s Sadiqabad tehsil and city chapters would play a vital role. He noted that a caravan led by Murtaza Mehmood and Raees Ibrahim Khalil, PPP’s candidates, will attend the meeting.
Another local leader disclosed that the Pakistan People’s Party will hold a public meeting as part of electioneering in Rahim Yar Khan on April 21 and the meeting will be addressed by top party leadership.
The meeting will also be addressed by PPP Senior Vice Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani and expected to be attended by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Faryal Talpur, detailed Muhammad Din, PPP Secretary General in Rahim Yar Khan. He said that in the district, his party under the leadership of Murtaza Mehmood has started electioneering, and if God willing, May 11 would be a victory day for his party in Rahim Yar Khan like other parts of the country.
He further disclosed that a meeting of the PPP ticket-holders and office-bearers under the chair of Javed Akbar Dhilloon was held at the latter’s residence. At the meeting, it was decided to hold a big public meeting in the district wherein a huge number of party workers, officeholders and common public will participate. He said that for the meeting, various committees had been constituted.
