ISLAMABAD- The federal government today decided to shut down all shops, marriage halls and restaurants by 8pm, 10pm and 11pm respectively in Islamabad and Punjab to counter energy crisis in the country.
This was decided in a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Energy presided by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Water and Power Ministry was asked to ensure projects being planned under the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor during the meeting. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was also informed about the progress on LNG terminals. Participants had a consensus on the production of efficient electrical appliances consuming less electricity.
