Lahore- Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) leader Raheeq Abbasi said today urged his party workers to break all barriers and participate in Youm-e-Shuhada (Martyrs Day).
Abbasi lamented that the government has started resorting to cheap methods to make the Youm-e-Shuhada rally unsuccessful. The PAT leader said that participating in someone’s chehlum is no crime and breaking barriers for the task does not fall in the definition of civil disobedience. Abbasi said that police is not a private servant of Nawaz, Shahbaz Sharif while blaming that the administration is not allowing workers to attend Youm-e-Shuhada by surrounding them with barriers and arresting them by raiding their vehicles. It must be remembered that PAT has announced to observe Youm-e-Shuhada on August 10, 2014 to commemorate the martyrs of Model Town Incident.
