KARACHI - Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that there are cordial relations between Pakistan and China and those relations will be cemented with the passage of time. This he said while meeting with a 14-member delegation of famous Chinese Company Kingho Group at CM House on Saturday. He said that bilateral relations between both countries were strengthened during the government of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. He maintained that President Asif Ali Zardari has paid visits to China to seek increase in Chinese investment in various sectors. He assured the Chinese company that Sindh government will provide all required facilities and full security to the Chinese company for having assignments for the said investments. He said that he is very happy that there will be signing of an agreement between Govt of Sindh and Kingho Company which will go in a long way for the betterment and development process. He welcomed the Chinese delegation and assured that all possible facilities will be extended, while President of Pakistan has expressed the need for better cultural, industrial and economic relations. The leader of the Chinese delegation Zou Yi in his briefing informed the CM that Kingho group being the largest private group has manpower of 64,000 and possess 22 billion tons of reserves of coal and 800 million tons of Iron ore. He added that their company has collected necessary data and figures, while meetings have been held with concerned authorities. Advisor to Prime Minister Kamal Majeedullah hoped that both countries will extend cooperation in the fields of mining and power generation. The meeting was informed that the evaluation committee has already cleared the scheme and MOU/agreement draft is being prepared jointly be Government of Sindh and Kingho company. It was further informed that the meeting of Thar coal and energy Board will be held on 11th May 2011 in which draft agreement for MOU will be finalised. The meeting was attended among others by Advisor to CM for Investment Zubair Motiwala, Advisor to PM Kamal Majeedullah, Ambassador at large Khalil Ahmed, Secretary Mines & Mineral Aijaz Ali Khan, Secretary to CM Sindh Alamuddin Bullo, Director General Thar Coal & Energy Barad Abdul Majeed Pathan, Wu Zongyuan and others.
