Surprisingly, a teacher belonging to a primary level school in Faridkot confirmed before the Anti- Terrorism Court hearing the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks that Ajmal (the only gunman caught during Mumbai attacks and later hanged), did not study in the school.
The teacher, a prosecution witness, said that the Ajmal who was studying in the primary school in Okara district of Punjab was not dead.
He provided details regarding his date of birth and attendance in the school. “I taught Ajmal but he was not the one hanged in India in connection with the Mumbai attacks,” said the teacher. The attack in India’s financial capital had killed 166 people in November, 2008.
