MIRPUR (AJK) - Former AJK prime minister Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry categorically refuted the rumors that his certain associates were going to join the present government under any a deal.
“This is no truth in such rumors or reports about any sort of deal with the incumbent AJK regime comprising the PPP AJK and a couple of the coalition partners,” Sultan said talking exclusively to this scribe. “No decision about joining of the incumbent AJK administration at local or top-level has yet been taken.”
Criticising the Premier Majeed-led coalition government of AJK, Barrister Sultan said that the government had totally failed in raising the Kashmir issue at home and abroad in an effective manner.
“It is the prime responsibility of the government at the base camp of the Kashmir Freedom Movement to highlight the importance of early peaceful settlement of the Kashmir issue but the incumbent AJK regime failed to perform its due effective role towards the direction”, he observed. “It is the need of hour for exercising the earliest-possible steps to ensure proper administration in the state which could serve the people according to their aspirations besides performing for the Kashmir cause in letter and spirit,” he said.
