Protest as two shot dead in robbery

BUREWALA
Students took out a rally and pelted Gaggo Mandi police station with stones as a protest against the killing of two vendors during a robbery on Monday.
Bashrat Ali, a ninth class student, was amongst the two persons who were shot dead during the robbery incident. To condemn the murders, the local students took out a rally and blocked Lahore Road. The angry students invaded Gaggo Mandi police station and pelted it with stones. As a result, the windowpanes were broken. A vehicle was damaged while two officials were injured.
FAKE CASE CONDEMNED: Burewala Bar Association condemned the registration of a case against a lawyer and announced to observe complete strike on October 8 as a protest.
It also demanded that the police should cancel the case. The Bar Association meeting was was presided over by its President Ayaz Mehmood. The participants condemned the registration of a case against their senior member Sardar Shahzad Ahmad Dogar.
THREE BOOKED: Three people were booked for halting anti-encroachment operation of Tehsil Municipal Administration on Monday.
Assistant Commissioner Saifullah Sajid ordered Tehsil Officer Regulation Ghulam Jillani to remove encroachments from the Luddan Road as some people have made their cattle’s den without any permission after breaking the fence alongside the road when Tehsil Municipal Administration officials reached their with heavy machinery, the occupants started pelting the officials with stones and also bashed them. Hearing about the incident, Model Town police reached the spot and arrested Muhammad Sajid and Bhola for interference and attacking Tehsil Municipal Administration officials and registered a case against them.
