Terror genie to come out of bottle, warns JI

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Syed Munawar Hassan has said that He said the terrorism genie would come out of bottle if the federal government does not cooperate with the Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa government.
He regretted that those had claimed to break the begging bowl have held a bigger begging bowl in their hands. Talking to the media and party workers, he added that the recent increase in general sales tax had brought unabated storm of inflation. He asked the rulers to curb the dearness otherwise the people would take to the streets.
Mr Munawar said that terrorist incidents had been increased for delay in implementation of the decisions taken in the All Parties’ Conference and it seems that the opposition and all political parties had handed over all the powers to government. He further said that the PML-N demolished public aspirations as a wall of sand they constructed in electioneering and are testing the public patience which has been overflown in 110 days of their government.
He said Jamaat-e-Islami would not leave public alone in crises and the JI was still in contact with other political parties in this regard. He said Jamaat believed in friendly relations with neighbor countries but in the case of India it would be based on equality. He said that Karachi operation would be continued till the achievements of its goals and he termed the MQM protest just hue and cry.
In Toba Tek Singh, Jamaat-e-Islami leader Dr Zahid Sattar has said that withdrawal of notification regarding power tariff hike following the Supreme Court intervention was in fact a fraud with the nation.
He stated that soon Nepra will issue a notification with raised power tariff to hoodwink the courts and the people. He warned that people will come out on roads in protest if power tariff was again increased. JI Central Naib Ameer and Punjab political committee Chief Ameerul Azeem will arrive here on Sunday. He will address JI office-bearers in the party office in Garden Town.
