OUR STAFF REPORTER MIRPUR (AJK) - AJK Prime Minister Ch Abdul Majeed Wednesday categorically declared that rising human rights abuses by Indian occupied forces in the Indian held Jammu & Kashmir was a matter of grave concern for the people dwelling in the liberated territory and voice against the HR violations in the occupied territory will be raised at all national and international forum. World community must not become a silent spectator to the rapidly worsening human rights situation in occupied Kashmir, Ch Majeed pointed out while addressing a reception hosted in his honour by Kashmir Press Club Mirpur on the eve of his first visit to his hometown after assuming the office of the Prime Minister. PPP AJK leader and former Prime Minister Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, the clubs President Syed Abid Hussain Shah and General Secretary Khalid Chaudhry also spoke on the occasion. Paying glorious tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs as well as the martyrs of 1965 Indo-Pak war, Premier Majeed vowed to continue the mission of the valiant sons of the soil for safeguarding inch after inch of the motherland besides for making Kashmir freedom movement complete success - since people of Jammu & Kashmir living either side of the line of control consider Pakistan their ultimate destination, he added. The AJK prime minister said that freedom of Kashmir and the working for speedy progress and prosperity and solidarity of Pakistan were the prime goals of Kashmiris who always consider Pakistan their ultimate destination in all respect. Ch Majeed pointed out that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto saved Pakistan by giving sacrifice of her blood and the newly-elected peoples government in AJK would leave no stone unturned to safeguard the ideological and geographical frontiers of Pakistan besides for making the Kashmir freedom struggle complete success by acting upon the policies and ideologies of Shaheed ZAB and BB, he vowed. Referring to the priorities of his government for the speedy progress of AJK, Ch Majeed said that complete rehabilitation and resettlement of Mangla dam affectees, early commencement of classes in the newly-established Shaheed BB OPF Medical College in Mirpur, supply of sui gas to rest of Mirpur city, establishment of international airport in Mirpur were the priorities of his government and these development projects would be executed simultaneously in the near future. The AJK prime minister declared that the state lands illegally occupied by the land mafia at the areas adjacent to housing sectors F-1 and F-2 in Mirpur will be got vacated from the clutches of the land grabbers at all cost. Majeed asked the land mafia, especially the illegal occupants of the state - land to immediately vacate the lands voluntarily or be ready to face the music if they resisted the authorities. Lashing out at the land mafia, the prime minister said that no thief or dacoit would be allowed to loot Mirpur and its people through their illicit acts and deeds. Speaking on the occasion, former Prime Minister Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry accused the outgoing Prime Minister Sardar Attique-led Muslim Conference government of the criminal negligence through its insincere, bad governance and failure in implementation of the project of supply of sui natural gas to rest of Mirpur city. He also charged the outgoing MC government of plundering the national exchequer for the accomplishment of vested designs.
