Eidul Fitr today

KARACHI - The Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee announced on Thursday that Shawwal moon has been sighted and the Eidul Fitr will be celebrated on Friday (today).
The announcement was made by Chairman of the Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee, Mufti Munibur Rehman, after chairing the meeting of the committee at Met Complex, University Road, Karachi.
Speaking on the occasion, Mufti Muneeb said the confirmations of moon sighting were received from many parts of the country including Karachi, Islamabad, Quetta, Hyderabad, Nawabashah.
Expressing gratitude to the Ulema of different schools of thought, he said they always endorsed and supported the decision of Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee.
Following the announcement residents of Karachi resorted to aerial firing in various City areas to celebrate the Shawwal moon while the news spread out across the City and people rushed to towards the shopping centers for Eid shopping.
Various political and religious leaders have greeted the nation on the occasion of Eidul Fitr, urging the masses to develop unity in their ranks to overcome the crisis.
In a message, Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh Chief Mirajul Huda Siddiqui and Syed Munawar Hasan urged the nation to face problems and difficulties confronting the country with unity.
He said that people have to face the situation with courage.
Pakistan Sunni Tehreek PST Chief Sarwat Aijaz Qadri, Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Qari Muhammad Usman, Jammiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (JUP)Maulana Abul Khair,  MQM chief Altaf Hussain, PPP Shaheed Bhutto Chief Ghinwa Bhutto has greeted the nation on occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and asked the nation to urged to establish unity to bring the country from hot waters.   
Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah greeting the nation especially the people of Sindh on Eid.
He said that he had directed the lawmaker of Sindh to meet the people on the occasion of Eid and resolve their problems.
Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ebad Khan has also greeted the nation on Eid and prayed for peace in Karachi and progress, prosperity and solidarity of Pakistan.
