Imran is ready to talk to taliban but not government: Saad Rafique

ISLAMABAD- Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that Imran Khan only promotes politics of hatred. He said that Imran Khan is ready to talk to Taliban but he does not want to talk to the government.

“Protesting is everyone’s democratic right but Imran’s words are not democratic at all,” said the Railways Minister.

Talking to journalists today, Pakistan Muslim League (N) leader said that Imran Khan must assure everyone that no law and order situation would be created in Islamabad during his long march.

Khawaja Saad Rafique said, “If Imran Khan wants electoral reforms, why is he protesting on roads? Has he brought any bill regarding this issue in Parliament during the last 15 months?”

He said that Imran Khan believes elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (KPK) were fair because he won there; he also believes that Sindh elections were fair but he does not want us to remain in power in Punjab.

Senior PMLN leader said that Tahirul Qadri wanted sectarian violence in the country. Saad Rafique said that he belonged to the same sect as that of Tahirul Qadri and their sect has never been violent before but now Qadri is using his followers for violence.

“Only vote can bring revolution in Pakistan, revolutions cannot be brought through violent protests,” said Saad.

Responding to a question about the barriers across Punjab, Saad Rafique said that the government had two options only; one of leaving all the roads open and allow Qadri and his violent supporters to enter Islamabad with their sticks and nails while the other one was to apply these containers to avoid any serious law and order situation in the federal capital.

“People of Lahore vote PMLN always and we seriously feel the pain that they are going through but we do not have any other option,” said the Minister.

“We have tried to talk to Tahirul Qadri but he doesn’t want to talk, his workers are torching police stations and vehicles, they are using sticks on the police and kidnapping them; what options then do we have other than sealing the entrance routes to keep this situation under control,” asked Khawaja Saad Rafique.
