Education termed prerequisite for progress, prosperity

The Government Girls Degree College (GGDC) has arranged a farewell party in honour of students of fourth-year here the other day. Government Boys Degree College Principal Malik Habib Ullah Saggu was the chief guest on the occasion while GGDC Vice Principle Madam Furman presided over the event. Speaking on the occasion, GBDC Principal Malik Habib Ullah Saggu said that the education was the only way to put a nation on the path to progress and prosperity.
He emphasised that history bore the fact that only those nations made progress which prioritized the education. He also underlined the need for providing women with more opportunities to get higher education for socioeconomic development. He said that women always played a brilliant roll along with men whenever it needed.
Early, in here welcome address GGDC NPT vice Principal Madam Furman greatly appreciated the efforts of the teaching Staff of the institution. She paid rich tributes to the students of the intermediate on their outclass performance. The vice principal said hardworking teachers were behind the success of students.
She said that the Educational institutions should produce future leadership by imparting quality Education. Recalling the great services of some great women, Madam Furman Said the women also rendered countless sacrifices with Hazarat Imam Hussain (RA) during war against Yazid and Fatima Jinnah supported Quaid-e-eAzam Muhammad Ali Jinnah during Pakistan Movement. Later, Principal Malik Habib Ullah Saggu gave prizes to students who secured positions.
