JUI-Ideological leader shot dead in Chaman



QUETTA – Top Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Ideological) leader Maulana Abdul Ghani was shot dead in an armed attack in the Balochistan border town of Chaman on Wednesday.
According to Levies Force sources, Maulana Abdul Ghani was on his way to Quetta when unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire on him.
As a result, he sustained serious wounds and was rushed to District Headquarter Hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries. The assailants escaped from the scene after committing the crime.
A large number of JUI-Ideological workers reached hospital soon after getting information about the killing and staged a furious protest. However, the motive behind the killing was yet to be ascertained.
Levies have registered a case against unidentified attackers and started a search in the area to arrest the responsible.
