PESHAWAR - The capital city police claimed on Friday to have arrested 60 outlaws including 18 proclaimed offenders during raids in areas of Charsadda, Nowshera and provincial metropolis.
According to details, police teams under the supervision of SSP Operations, Imran Shahid raided in various areas against anti-social elements. During the campaign, 60 outlaws including 15 POs were arrested. Police also recovered two Kalashnikovs, five rifles, 42 pistols, 16-kg hashish, one Kg heroin and 34 bottles of liquor from their possession.
Cases have been registered against the arrested and investigations are under way.
Meanwhile, Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Kiramatullah Khan here Friday felicitated Latifur Rehman and Ramzan Seemab on their election as Chairman and President of Dera Ismail Khan Press Club.
In a felicitation message to newly elected office bearers, he said that their election reflects the confidence of journalist fraternity on their abilities. He expressed the hope that members of new body would utilise their energies to solve the problems confronted by journalist community and show professional exuberance in performing of duties.
