FAISALABAD - The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has produced five more doctors of philosophy, totaling the number to 1,016 PhDs produced by the varsity. The UAF awarded degrees to M Nadeem Abbas from Zoology & Fisheries Department, M Shehzad from the Agronomy Dept, M Saqib Randhawa from Agronomy Dept, Hafiz Umar Farid from Irrigation and Drainage Dept, and M Irfan Ullah form Parasitology Dept. The titles of their PhD research were "Assessment of synergies of the synchronized biodiversity of wheat and sugarcane crops in Faisalabad", "Effects of nitrogen and seed priming on forage yield and quality of sorghum cultivars", "Effect of integrated plant nutrition and irrigation scheduling on the growth, yield and radiation use efficiency of hybrid maize (Zea mays L.)", "Modelling precision farming practices to improve wheat productivity".
and "Immunomodulatory effects of some locally available mushrooms in chickens and their therapeutic effects against coccidiosis".
